Music Consultants...

Picking out music for the Reception should be fun. Most Brides and Grooms pick songs from our Online Music Library of 5,000,000 titles, PLUS 5 Million songs on Apple's iTune's site. On our music site you can pick "Must Plays" and "Do Not Plays" in addition to general requests. If we don't have a song on your list, we will purchase it and get it for you at no additional charge. Just be careful of what you pick! People tend to dance to songs that they know or have heard at other Wedding Receptions. If you want a lot of dancing at your Reception you need to make sure that your musical selections will appeal to to a wide segment of your guests. Our Hot 100 List will help you pick out music or offer suggestions that "works" for your guest list. Sound Investment will always honor the songs on your list and those requests from your guests BEFORE we play something else.

Wedding Coordinators...

Being successful Wedding DJs means that we need to know many things: Protocol, Tradition, Music Knowledge, Psychology, Public Speaking and the ability to "read" the crowd. But we also need to be a little bit of "Wedding Coordinator" too. For your Wedding, it is our responsibility to:

• Do a Site Survey of an unfamiliar Venue, if neccessary
• Arrive 60-90 minutes early for Set up
• Test all equipment prior to Guest Arrivals
• Have music playing as Guests arrive, even if it's early
• Be dressed formal, in a Tuxedo
• Follow your reception plans and keep them on track
• Line up your Bridal Party
• Instruct the Best Man on the Toast
• Establish a rapport with your guests
• Coordinate Introductions, First Dance and Dinner with the Catering Facility, Photographer and Videographer
• Get people on the dance floor in between courses
• Keep our finger on the "Pulse" of your Wedding so that it doesn't get boring.
• Keep the music volume at a resonable level during Dinner
• Alert the Photographer/Videographer if plans unexpectedly change
• Handle the Cake Cutting
• Introduce Parent Dances
• Announce any Birthdays or Anniversaries you may provide
• Tastefully handle the Garter/Bouquet Toss
